Hi Amy

Apparently my dr plans to do nothing about the fibroids. She never told me that I have them!!! I only found out that I have them because I got a copy of my records when I was there for my shot the other day. I have only had a few periods in the last 2 years but yes, they were very heavy with lots of clots even though I was on bcp's. From the research I have done so far I think they can only be removed by a hyst because they are intramural fibroids. What were some of the other problems your sister had with them?

Thanks Elaine (NY) ===========

Hi Elaine What's your doc planning to do with the fibroids? Or did he tel you anything about that? My older sister had lots of fibroids, everywhere. Doc put her on lupron to help shrink the fibroids but it didn't help. Did you have major bleeding with your periods? That was one of the many problems they caused her. Depending on where and how big the fibroids are they can be removed using different procedures like scraping and other fun stuff. Hope this helps some. luv, Amy

Hi Tracy Thanks for the info. I don't know if an anteverted uterus is bad but it is probably not good. I found out that intramural fibriods are fibroids inside the wall of the uterus. As for your queston "Done with Lupron....", I think you should go back on bcp's. My dr tells me that it is very important to go back on bcp's after lupron in order to maintain any benifit you get from it. You might want to call the dr's office and ask. Hope you get some relief soon! ICQ me anytime, I added you to my list of freinds. Pain free wishes Elaine (NY)
