Re: ????From: Elaine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jul 8 11:44:19 1999
Hi Tracy Thanks for the info. I don't know if an anteverted uterus is bad but it is probably not good. I found out that intramural fibriods are fibroids inside the wall of the uterus. As for your queston "Done with Lupron....", I think you should go back on bcp's. My dr tells me that it is very important to go back on bcp's after lupron in order to maintain any benifit you get from it. You might want to call the dr's office and ask. Hope you get some relief soon! ICQ me anytime, I added you to my list of freinds. Pain free wishes Elaine (NY) ============= Elaine, I got my records recently too and my husband has a medical dictionary so I could look up a few things. From what I have read, 1) Can anyone tell me what an anteverted uterus means? Anteverted means = tipped, my file said that I have an Anteverted uterus as well. I do not know, however, if that is a bad thing or good. My file and the dictionary didn't say. 2) Can anyone tell me what intramural fibroids are? Could they be causing pain? In looking through all my ultrasound reports I found I have had these from the start and they have continued to increase. I was never told that I have these. They could very well be the cause of addtional pain, unfortunately, I am at work right now and I can not get the dictionary to find out what they mean. 3) In the operative report from my lap in june 98, when my left ovary was removed due to a 10cm cyst, I am concerned by one sentence: "A slight bit of the cyst wall was still adherent to the pelvic side wall, but it was very small, was not causing any problems and in light of its location we elected to leave it there." Is it possible that this small bit could still cause pain? Should I point this out to my dr as a possible explanation for the return of the pain? In my opinion, yes that would be a cause for more pain. Of course, that is just my opinion. I hope I helped. Tracy in Calgary
