Hi, I was on depo for a year, it worked for me but the only side effect i had was weight gain 20 lbs and then when i stopped it it was a year before i could lose any of the weight, but it does go back to normal. I know it isn't really good news about the weight gain. Sorry. But you could react differently. Hope everything goes well. Christie
