I don't know how they do it either Jennifer, but I guess you have to be
very convincing and I also think that it has to do with the doctor's
personality because I know that with my last Gyn when I tried to ask
for real strong painkillers for something else he refused to give it to
me. The only way that I was able to get any was because my mother told
them in such a way how much pain I was in. As it turned out the
painkiller that they gave me wasn't strong enough to touch the pain.
Of course, now when I take the Darvocet for that particular pain it
knocks it out.
The laws are different in each State when it comes to dispensing
painkillers, and I think that is unfair. Oh well, I hope that you can
find a way to convince the doctor to give you some painkillers. I
wonder if maybe having your husband rattle their chains might help. I
have heard of that happening that when the husband calls the office and
tells the doctor how much pain their wives are really in that sometimes
they will listen. I will definitely let you know how it goes with
doctor tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything else.
