thanks for writing! I never have been told about the risk of cancer and i totally trust my gyn. I know that in the past he said that i need a period to get pregnant (when i am ready to). he also said that i may need medical intervention and he nor anyone else can explain why i dont have them. I never had a problem until an ovarian cyst in 1993 and had surgery for it. for the rest of 1993, i had the black stuff but it wasnt' a real period and then all of a sudden it stopped for a month or two (no real bleedign but constant dysfunctional uterine bleeding) and pain. then in 1994 that was it. it lasted like 24 hours and never again. i dont' even spot. i have been on the pill now for like 8 months. was off everythign for like 3 months before that. they say they can't figure it out but was just curious. thanks a mil!
