Hey Everyone, I was at the gyny today, (with hubby) and we have decided to put me on a six monthly course of injections, the drug is called décapeptyl s.r. I am presuming that this drug is the same as Lupron, so far what what I have seen on the company'ss web site, it seems to be. I have told the doctor that I want to be sent to a specialist, which he is doing. i wasn't too happy with him at all, he even mentioned maybe getting pregnant after the first round of treatments. This was after he said that in past times doctors used to prescribe getting pregnant as a treatment for endo! This kind of annoyed me a bit, especially as my husband was with me, and I had already told the dr.( and had my hubby) that we had already decided that we would continue to wait until we were about 30 ( uhoh I am 29 already! lol) He also came out with other stuff that I wasn't too happy with, like he said that the endo wouldn't ever come back as bad as it was before the lap. and he kept saying that my stage 2 endo wasn't that bad. I mean, he was a nice guy and all, but sorry!,,uhuh!,,,,no thank you, plus the fact that I was there at 9am for my 9am appointment, and he was still on his rounds in the wards until 10.30am (I know this because my sister is a nurse in the hospital, and she was doing the rounds with him) So, needless to say, considering that I had a meeting at 11am I was fairly hopping mad by the time he saw me! Sorry to ramble on, but I am a bit depressed tonight, which is totally alien to me, Its kind of like, now that I have to go onto treatments, there is no going back. So what I would like to know, If you have got this far,,,lol,,,,and you aren't asleep by now,,,lol....Has anyone every used this drug?..and id so, what were your experiences with it?
