Your post brought tears to my eyes, I'm so sorry you had to give your dog away. Mine brings me so much fun, laughter, comfort, etc., I know where you're coming from, I'd miss her incredibly if we couldn't keep her. Sounds like your Serena has found a good home; the fact that the man called you shows he's got her best interests at heart. Maybe he'd be ok to you calling once in a while to check out how she's doing. Bonnie is also a very sensitive dog; in the winter when I was having such a hard time and after my lap, she would lay on the floor beside the bed for hours on end, would try to lick and nuzzle but never tried to jump - which is a major feat for her!!! She has a way of knowing when I'm down and bummy. My heart really goes out to you.... As for your state, not familiar at all! My friend lives in Hopkins Minneapolis; (I think I emailed already but not sure) - does that mean anything to you? He works for an HMO, Altima. We hope to go down in Sept., with the dog, of course!
