Hi Debi and welcome to the forum. You should definitely be uncomfortable with the diagnosis and seek another doctor who knows what he/she is doing. Everything that I've read and heard states that the only way to diagnose endo is through a lap. What symptoms do you have? You may have some of the indicators of endo, but the only way to tell for sure is a lap. My younger sister has recently been to a gyn, after asking for months for a referral - he did an internal and told her she doesn't have endo. She's trying to get in to see someone else, and I recommend you do the same. The women here are very helpful, supportive and full of info - I've learned a lot in the 5 months I've been here. I hope you find this place helpful. Where do you live? Some of the women are bound to know of a good doc or how to find out who's good in your area. Take care. luv, Amy
