Ok I was diagnosed in Oct. '94. At that time I had a tubal ligation and the doctors told me the Endo would not get any worse. Well for two and a half years I felt fine, but now I am in so much pain and it seems like it is all the time now. I used to only have pain three days during ovulation, three days before my period started and then continued for three days into my period (bleeding lasted 6 days total). Pain 9 days out of the month was not so bad-I got used to it and hardly even felt it for the most part. Now I am in pain pretty much every day. Most days it is a dull pain and barly noticable, but other days it is so bad I can barely move. I have tried pain killers, but my body gets to used to the drug and it stops working after about 2-3 weeks. Now I cannot even hold down a Job because the pain is so bad and I cannot get help from our Family Services here and I am broke. Family Services told me it is a curable diease so they cannot help. This month has been the worst ever. I am starting to get really scared. My pain was so bad this month and localized on one side, and to top it off my period only lasted three days instead of the normal 6. I went to the emergency room and they told me it was normal to have an irregular period once in a while (it has been the same way for over 5 yrs) and they said there was nothing they could do. I need to know what to do-I am so scared and it is starting to interfer with work (just got fired for missing work) and with my sex life. At least my boyfriend is very understanding and sticks with me no matter what. What am I supposed to do? I need to get rid of the pain and I need to find a way to get money without getting fired all the time. PLEASE HELP! I am sorry this is long winded, but I really am scared and I don't know what else to do!
