Hi Traci, Goofed-up, I was trying to get *this* information to you from
the naturopath at prevention magazine. These are Dr. Tori Hudson's
recommendations for treating chronic pain in fybromyalgia patients,
maybe they can help??? You can check out her article
at:http://www.healthyideas.com - they may have some other ideas for natural
treatment of pain too. Muscle relaxants did help me.
1. 5-hydroxytryptophan 100 -- 400mg a day before bed
for improvement in sleep.
2. Licorice extract to stimulate adrenal function and natural cortisol
levels.
3. L-carnitine -- 1500 mg a day for pain, soreness,weakness of muscles.
4. Panax ginseng to improve muscle endurance.
To relax your muscles naturally, consider calcium,
magnesium, black cohosh, kava and valerian.
Much luck, SusieQ
