If you want info on the island and area you can call 1-800-LILACS. Its really a great place, carriage rides, bicycles built for two, fudge......I could go on and on - like I said, its one of my favorite places!! OH ya, a good clean motel in Mackinaw City is the Vin Del; it has an outdoor pool, play area for kids, is quiet and reasonably priced. Sorry I don't have the phone number anymore. There's a lot of touristy shops in Mackinaw City, but lots of other stuff too, like an old Fort where they reinact things in period costumes. Also, just across the bridge ($1.50 toll) is St. Ignace which also has a lot of great places to visit and is worth checking out also. Take care!!
