Re: SubClinical Hyptothyroidism with AutoImmune ThyroiditisFrom: Stephanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun May 30 10:13:56 1999
Hey China Rose, Did you ever check out the Wilson's Syndrome site...http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com ...the symptoms are the same as you describe...I'm wondering if it's a different name for the same thing (or almost the same thing)...check it out and tell me what you think! I've had very good results with the therapy there...it calls for an extended release T3 which must be gotten from a compounding pharmacy since none of the "majors" make it (this is what your body changes the T4 into to use for metabolism, etc...). According to this theory, when under stress, the body takes the T4 and changes more of it to reverse T3 (RT3) instead of T3 to slow the metabolism...then for some reason we don't come back to a normal state like most people do... You do cycles up and down on this and it brings your balance back to normal and finally you are off of it altogether...my temp is now holding at almost 98.6...instead of the 97.2 where I started...also my symptoms are all definitely improved, but the fatigue is not totally gone yet...I'm hoping that taking care of the endo will help that some too. But I no longer have the muscle aches, intolerance to cold and cold hands and feet at all...my memory and concentration are much better as well...some days are better than others! Good luck...I hope you get it all under control! Love and Health, Stephanie
