Hi Stacy,

I was on Depo-Provera for 9-months. I just had my first period in over a year, this last week. OMG!! It was extremely painful. But Dr. Redwine had warned me about that before I went to surgery. I understood what he said as; due to the length of time I had been estrogen surpressed, 4 surgeries, no period for over a year, and in immense amount of pelvic pain, it is absolutely normal for my first period to be painful.

Although, my doctor now wants me to have a MRI done, to rule out Adenmyosis <sp> I declined since my previous doctor had already told me I had mild Adenmyosis.

Anyways, I hope this helps shed some light.

Wishing you painfree days.
