I have a question for a coworker Mel. She's 26, was on bcp starting at 16 for 10 years due to period problems/pain, went off last year and has had inconsistent cycles, no period since Feb., and previously had ovarian cyst(s) rupture and may have pco. She saw a doc who did an ultrasound and told her she doesn't have endo - I told Mel the ultrasound is not diagnostic; she has an appt set up with an obgyn. She also had blood work done, hormore levels are normal. Do these symptoms sound like what any of you had pre endo diagnosis, or have any idea what might be happening here? Mel's mother had her last period at 26 yrs of age just after Mel was born, and I asked her if it may be premature menopause; anyone have any ideas on that? Any and all responses would be very helpful and appreciated by her. This whole thing and the possibility of intertility has really thrown her; nothing like not knowing what's going on with your body and why its happening to increase the stress, eh?
