I work in health care, and the majority of MS patients who can no longer walk or take care of themselves end up in nursing homes. It is really sad, because they are usually young people who are very much alive intellectually, but are locked in bodies that don't function anymore. If they have no family who can care for them, they end up in a nursing home. When I see people like this who are falling thru the cracks in our health care system, I am glad it is only endo that I deal with. Yes, our health care "system" in this country is the absolute pits!
