Re: Provera Tablet users can you helpFrom: Kathryn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon May 17 02:34:18 1999
Hi Debbie Side effects from medications usually stay with you until you stop taking them. I haven't had those side effects you are talking about while on Provera but I have had them on other treatments. It may be a case of trying something else until you find one that suits you. The last one I was on made me cry about nothing all of the time and I was forever moody. I don't have any of that on Provera. Compared to some of the other tablets I have been on I feel quite good while on Provera. The only side effect I have a problem with is constipation. But then there are things I can take for that. As for your chocolate cravings - don't listen to them! I know it is hard - I have them all of the time, but you have to say no. I find that they are worse when I am hungry so I eat something that is good for me instead. I find that if I give in to them I feel guilty but if I stand up to them and walk out of a shop without chocolate I feel really good and it gives me the inspiration to say no more often. Remember that if you give in you will put on weight. Also, sugar isn't good for endo. I find that Provera is one treatment that hasn't caused me to put on weight, but then it reacts differently to everyone. Good luck. Kathryn
