Hi...I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not, but when I was
diagnosed with IBS my doc also told me to eat a high fibre diet and had
prescription meds, as well as an over the counter (from the pharmacist)
product called Surfact (I think - its something like that). Its a gel
capsule, basically fibre in a capsule, and my symptoms decreased
tremendously. Take care
