lupronFrom: al (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 14 20:58:45 1999
I see there's been several posts about the good and bad of lupron, and just wanted to give my two cents. I had my second shot the start of this month, and I feel better than I have in months, literally. After my first shot, it seemed the pain was back and just as bad as ever about two weeks later, I was very frustrated, and felt like things were never going to get better. I've had some side effects like hot flashes, but they haven't been too bad, and, frankly, I'd rather sweat like a beast for a little while than be in constant pain day and night! I've felt pretty good since my second needle, and have even done gardening the last two days, digging around in the dirt, hauling soil and planting flowers - I'm tired but feel great at the same time, because this time last month I didn't know if I'd be able to do any of this and was very angry and frustrated, especially since this is our first house and I wanted to plant flowers, you know? Anyway, I'm really rambling (told you I was tired LOL) but my point is that the lupron seems to be working for me (unless its a two week fluke), I'm having very little endo pelvic and uterus pain, but my feet and back are killing me :), and I wanted to let you all know that it might work for you, it might not, unfortunately, there are no guarantees with this ugly disease. The key, as everyone keeps saying, is research things, learn as much as you can and feel you need in order to make an informed decision about what is best for you. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and painfree wishes to all! luv, Amy
