Re: endo-diagnosis:surveyFrom: al (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 14 20:50:05 1999
Hi >From Sept. to my lap in mid Feb I had severe low left pelvic pain, daily that was so bad many times I could barely walk, it hurt to sneeze, laugh, cough etc. When I finally had tha lap done, it turns out I had adhesions pulling between my ovary and uterus. The pain was incredible, it got worse and worse and I ended up off work for a few months between the pelvic pain and abdo pain etc. I know other ladies have said this, but, you should have a lap done, its the only way to diagnose endo, and it seems to be a rather backwards treatment to give you bcp when the doc isn't sure what's causing the pain. A lap will show what's going on and if there's endo and adhesions they can be removed. Now, post lap and after second lupron shot, the pain is much reduced, but I certainly remember how horrible it was and hope everyday that it won't get like that again. I'll keep you in my thoughts, and hope that things get better for you soon, and that your doc does a lap!!! :) Amy
