Re: a typical cells in papFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue May 4 07:48:19 1999
Stacie, Hi. The posts that have responded to you are correct. You shouldn't worry but don't shrug it off either. I am writing this to inform you and not to scare but I thought you might like to look at this site. A bit of background on me...I was diagnosed with a-typical cells (dysplasia) almost 7 years ago. I have had biopsies (colposcopies) done and I still have abnormal paps. I didn't know until recently that there is a possible link between this and endo...I read it on one of the posts. I am still looking into this possibility myself so I don't know much about it yet. It concerned me with my diagnosis because my mom, aunt and grandma had cancer of the ovaries and uterus so I am at risk anyway... I thought you might like to have this link to look at. It is a newsletter written by Dr. Cook and one of the topics is "Endometriosis May Increase Cancer Risk" . It can be found at http://www.drkoop.com/healthnews/newsletter.html. Take care, God bless Shelley
