Re: a typical cells in papFrom: Joanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon May 3 16:53:55 1999
Hi Stacie, The same thing happened to me about 8 years ago. Basically, it means "not typical". My doctor had me do another pap 6 months later to compare results. They were the same as the first time. He then did a biopsy to rule out cervical cancer, etc. Everything turned out fine, however, this is when he first suspected endo. When I had the lap he found I had a lot of endo. Since I've been having the endo removed, I've had normal paps. Yours could be related to endo as well. The best thing is to call your dr and ask what s/he expects this to mean and what their plan of action will be. Much has changed in 8 years. I would be concerned but don't overwhelm yourself with worry. Early detection is everything! It sound as though this is your situation. Best of luck and let me know how it goes. Joanne stacie wrote:
