The good news and the badFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Apr 29 22:58:15 1999
Hi everyone, just wanted to share some news. I had my last lap done in March and decided not to go back on any of that wonderful medicine that messed me up for two years. My gyn was very supportive. Today I had an appointment with a Homeopathy/Nutrition dr. and it went well. He has me going for a number of tests. He wants me to take the Basal Temperture Test to see if I have Hypothyroidism ( I have 8 out of 10 symtoms), a Bone Densitometry(osteperosis run in my family and the shots didn't help), a H.pylori breath test (to see if I have microscopic bugs in my intestines, all of the wonderful GI problems that I have) and a Liver Detox Test (everything has to go through the liver, even estrogen, to see what is going through my bod). I also am starting to take Soy Isoflavones, Vitex, Betaine and Progesterone Cream. Now I really feel like a walking science project! I have an appointment with a Pain Management dr. next week. My GYN wants me to call him to tell him how everything went with both drs. because I'm not due to see him till July. Just went for my 6 week check up after the lap and I healed well. But of course as I start to get optimistic about everything life and endo life start to kick in. I am starting to cramp and spot and I just got over my week from hell. My mood swings were horrible tonight. I started crying while watching ER for no real reason. Was yelling at the kids earlier and my husband left for work this morning and won't be back till Saturday night then I go to work. Thank you everyone for listening. I enjoy the forum so much. I don't write often but I read alot which makes me feel like I am not alone. Hope all is pain free.... Karen in NY
