Hi Lasinda, I just wanted to say that if you do not feel comfortable with a male GYN, then DO NOT GO to him. Perhaps he is a good Dr, but if you have issues from your past, it may not be a good idea! I have had a male, then a female who was really a man (not really, but she's pretty insensitive =)], and now I have a wonderful female Doctor. I love her and fully trust her. I have had things in my past, too, and I have a hard time trusting men as well. Also, my husband doesn't like the idea of me seeing a man. I had even thought about having a midwife when I do have a child because it was so hard to find a Dr that i could trust. But now I've reconsidered. Keep looking, if you're not comfortable with a man.

Lots of love and luck, Joy in CA
