Dear Rachelle, A lap is the operation in which they peek inside your pelvic cavity to see what is going on -- at the same time, they can excise/cut out any endo which they find. Once the endo is excised, one generally feels great pain relief. Problem -- the microscopic endo roots may keep growing in your body -- this is the problem I currently face as I had a horrible night last night -- could not sleep due to my lower back aching ALL night :0( Y.
