Tracy I was on depo for 1 year and gain about 35 pounds. Then when I stopped (because of the weight gain) it took a full year before I could loss any weight. I was exercising everyday and watching what I ate i could not lose the weight but after that one year I was able to lose weight with no problem. The doctor told me for some it could do that, stay in you body for up to a year. Hope this info helps.I know it doesn't sound like good news, but it does get better.

Christie
