Bobbi It is my understanding that taking the ovaries out, when they are infected is the route to go when doing a hysterectomy. Not in all people but some. With me they are doing it because I would more than likely get it again. The main point is to make sure that they get all the endo when they do the surgery. If they don't then yes when you start estrogen therapy the endo can come back. Unfortunately no matter what we try it seems that nothing cures it. We can only try and make sure it doesn't grow back. You need good Dr's and a positive attitude. Hopefully I will have both. I know I have great friends in my endo sisters who when they learned about my Hysto made sure that I knew there was a chance it could come back. So darling, have a good move try not to do too much and call me, if you want when you get there. Take care your endo sister deb
