Amy,

I know it is such a scary thing to go on Lupron. I just started 2 weeks ago. I'm a teacher and I've already missed my share of work due to surgery. Here's what the nurse at my Dr.'s office told me about the shot. It may calm your nerves, it did mine for now. She said that usually the first injection you don't have many side effects. It apperently builds up in your system after the 2nd or 3rd shot. She also said that all of their patients have not complained about headaches (I get bad migraines, so that was a big issue for me). She said the most complaints were towards the insomnia and mood swings. I'm already on elival for my migraines, so that takes care of my sleeping habits. I've had some hot flashes maybe 4 a day and night sweats. But they haven't been bad. I've had a mood swing. (I got bitchy, that is all). Everyone is different and will react differently to the injection. Just take it one day at a time, that's what I do. Pet's are great listeners and hubby's are good too. Sometimes they don't understand all of this endo stuff. Hang in there!

Love, Kellie
