Re: Alternative "physicians"? JustineFrom: Tiina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Mar 18 17:09:45 1999
Justine, I just recently found a holistic clinic nearby (The Natural Healing Ctr, I think) while I was looking up an acupuncturist. I made an appt. with the acupuncturist and have been researching acupuncture at the library. Docs who are well-trained should incorporate the herbs, nutrition, exercise, etc. along witht hte acupuncture so I hope to get some good advice from him. My martial arts instructor gave me his name and the doc was trained in China so I'm hoping he is a s good as I've heard. When I called, the person making the appt. sounded very familiar with endo and described the assessment the doc would do. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't pay for it, but it;s worth it to me to pay out of pocket. How about your holistic clinic? What are they classified as in "insurance Hell" and are your visits covered? I wish you lots of luck with the natural approach. Keep me updated, I'd love to hear more and compare notes after my doc appt. (it's not until Apr. 6). Take care and hugs for pain free days, Tiina (feel free to e-mail privately: tjonasch@pen.k12.va.us)
