Re: LupronFrom: Sonya (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Mar 16 20:26:37 1999
I am presently on Lupron and been on it before it also. I was on it about a year and a half ago for six months and now I'm back on it again. The first time it was terrible with the hot flashes and mood swings. This time I've been on it for two months now and am doing okay. The mood swings and hot flashes are barable and so far only a two pound weight gain. Don't be so scared it might help. If your doctor is skipping right to this treatment it might be because he doesn't believe that anything else will work. I think its better to get the best medicine then to fool around with medicine that doesn't work on you cause why they're fooling around your living in pain. I'm not saying its gonna be easy, your just gonna have to work with your body. Carry water bottles with you for the hot flashes, when you notice yourself getting mad or fustrated take a break, a breather and for the weight gain just watch what you eat and weigh your self once a week around the same time of day. This has certainly helped me espically with being at school. Living in dorms your in smushed areas so its very easy to get fustrated with people and it gets hot very easily here also. I don't believe the migranes should get worse with the Lupron but I could be wrong. I hope things go well for you, good luck. Sonya lee
