If doctors did their job completely, patients wouldn't need to turn to the "dangerous" Internet for support. Even when doctors do as much as they can why can't they recognize that some patients need additional support and turn to forums such as these. Instead, they (doctors) seem to feel threatened, even though they can't do any more for the patient that they are already doing. (if that is the case, many times it is not) Most people are able to understand that there are some very scary situations out there, but they are rare and probably will not happen to them. This is what she should have explained to you, not tell you to stay away from the Internet! That would be like telling you that you better not drive anymore because its a major threat to your life (much more dangerous than the Internet is!) You seem to be worrying less. Good luck on Monday with your gyn. I hope you ask him specific questions about further testing and if that will alleviate your concerns. I liked that description of the barium enema that someone posted. Sounds like that might be appropriate for you. CHris
