To Lisa and all:

I was itching to write something after reading all of these messages....

First...Lisa...it is great that you keep a positive attitude and have faith In HIM that you will be okay, despite the challenges in life. However, you should have stopped after your first e-mail because now you have gone overboard. You had alot of positive comments in your first e-mail, but from what you stated in your "Be a Survivor" e-mail, it sounded like you were trying to convince yourself as you preach to yourself and the ladies on this forum. I do not want to offend you by saying this, but before you decide to preach to other people, be sure to take long, hard look at yourself in the mirror.... There is nothing wrong with lifting yourself up and moving yourself forward, but if you want to motivate others in a positive manner, you have to do it in a manner that means something to them, not you. Making them feel as though they are wrong for reaching out to others is not the way.

You mentioned a quote in your e-mail, "Be a survivor", that if we have Hopes we should give to others, and if we have Doubts we should keep them to ourselves. Well, I believe that this quote could be received in a negative manner. This forum is for women who need SUPPORT... someone else that they can relate to. A husband, boyfriend, child, father, mother, etc. may not truly understand because they are not suffering from this disease. OR, they do not have the support system that you may have at home. If there are women who have doubts, fears, whatever...the forum is a place to get HOPE...and you being the positive person that you are, should not place judgement and should offer them hope...

Like Corinne stated, there are worse things in life such as divorce, abuse, violence, cancer, etc. that are greater tragedies than having endo. However, how do you know that they have not experienced these challenges in life, you do not know these women?

I think it's great when you say that you will not allow ENDO to control your life. It shouldn't control anyone's life nor let it kill them. That's with any disease...even if you have cancer. If you continue to wallow in grief and let the disease take your spirit, then you are already dead before it kills you. We all should live for today, and hope that we are here tomorrow....HOWEVER, contrary to your belief, you should not say that you cannot die from endo because you can. You can die from having ulcers...and if you ask your doctor if this disease can kill YOU, more than likely he will tell you "NO". But, if you ask your doctor if it's POSSIBLE that someone can die from this disease, I'm almost sure he'll tell you nothing is guaranteed...LIKE OUR LIVES!!!

I joined this forum to become acquainted with other women suffering from this disease so I can learn things, as well as find out if someone out there knows of a doctor in my area. And there are plenty of positive messages that come across the forum. I can say that I am blessed because I have not experienced the complications that these women have...I can appreciate the things in my life as I read some of these e-mails. But I give these women credit because the world is on their shoulders and they keep on movin'....despite their challenges in life. And, who cares if they vent or complain....they are truly entitled to it.

We ALL should be blessed that we are here on this earth...that we woke up...because nothing in life is promised! And if there are some women who do not feel blessed about having this disease (as you put it), I can respect that.

There is only one person that should place judgement....and you are not HIM.

Let's put this behind us...and keep positivity on this forum.

Much Blessings, Teesha

P.S. I may be out of line for saying this....but I do believe that the least you could do is offer an apology to TWY because you were WAY out of line for "expressing" your concern about her feelings and asking her if she was seeking help for her depression. I do not know where you come off DR. CARRIE, but you are not one to talk.
