Hi Chris,
Oh ouch! Your story is painful just listening to it. My situation is
different than yours. My adhesion didn't move in the same direction and
it sounds like a different part of the colon as well. The large sigmoid
colon is on the left. My adhesion pushed it even further left. There
is no risk of a kink (Dr. R definately discussed that with me). It's
the largest section of the colon and it's location won't do that given
where it's attached to. It still hurts like heck at times because
adhesions atrophy (harden and tighten with time). You can get adhesions
within 3 months. I don't understand why the surgeon didn't find it
"clinically significant". I know that just depending on the location
you can get a kink and that's no fun at all.
I feel pinching and pulling. Sometimes I'll go to get something over my
head in a cupboard and I get a pinch. As far as bowel trouble, there is
no blockage or pain. I'm lucky in that respect.
