I've always had a lot of adhesions around my sigmoid colon in the left side of my pelvis. (at least 20 years) I had a colonoscopy Jan 98, a lap Mar 98, and another lap Sept 98. The colonoscopy was normal. At the second lap the gyn fixed a small bowel adhesion that was causing a partial obstruction but left the adhesions around the colon. (he didn't think they were clinically significant) After 3 months the pain was back. At the last lap there was a kink in the sigmoid colon, it was pulled over and stuck to the right abdominal wall, plus folded back and stuck to itself. When you say yours moved, what do you mean, something like this? What problems did it cause you? The gen surgeon who did the third lap said the colon problems were there at the second lap, but he didn't see them until he took down some adhesions and this is why the gyn missed them. My question is How in the world could the GI doctor insert a colonoscope, thinking he had to go towards the left of my pelvis but really had to go right and then left? He did say I was "letting them know" it was painful so they gave me more drugs and I was out. Don't remember a thing. I'm interested to know what problems it has caused you, was it fixed, etc.? I think mine is stuck on the right wall again by the way I feel, but you never know for sure until you get in there.
