Re: A Major Vent :<[From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri Feb 26 16:43:47 1999
Chris, I know what you mean. My husband and I have seen the same PCP for 10 years now and it seems like anymore he doesn't hear half of what we are saying. Besides the endo, I have very bad psoriasis and a condition on my hand that causes little blisters to pop up. I have showed them to my PCP before and all he will say is well I guess you better stop doing all that hard work. I told him I don't work construction or out in the yard. I type and do stuff on computers for a living. I do housework but it would not cause these blisters because they are on the inside of my fingers and the outside of my hand near my thumb. He just looks at me like I don't know what I am talking about. The last time I went to see him, he told me about his twins and wrote down on my chart that I had sinusitis, but told me I had bronchitis. I think anymore they bite off more than they can chew because the HMO's make them see so many patients in an hour. My mother goes to a different PCP and she has way too many medical problems to list and she says they only give her about 5 minutes each time and sometimes not even that long. I think insurance companies are trying to make a profit so they make the Drs. do more in order to make a profit also. LeAnn in KY
