Re: AlisonFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Feb 25 13:45:25 1999
Alison, I was diagnosed with endo in September 1998. I took BCP for over 15 years and did not realize I even had endo because the BCP's made me hardly have a period at all. I had pain after intercourse and that had never happened before and I realized something was wrong. I went to my GP and he recommended the GYN who did my Lap and put me on Lupron. I have been on Lupron for 4 months now also. They said my endo is only stage 1, but the dr said he also thought that most of my problem was in my uterus and he called it adenomyosis. That is why he put me on the Lupron. I asked him if I could go for a second opinion after a friend of mine who has sever endo told me about an RE named Dr. Akin and my GYN knows him personally and had used this particular RE to help him and his wife get pregnant. I was shocked. My GYN was very nice and said he would send a letter telling the RE all about my problems and send him the pictures of my Lap. I thought that was really nice. He has been very nice about everything including giving me Lortabs for the pain and Naprosyn. The Naprosyn doesn't help much but I take it during the day when I am at work. I take the Lortabs after I get home and can lay down. LeAnn
