This is only my second time chatting (first time was earlier tonight with another wonderful group). Hope I'm doing this right--just wanted to tell my story a little. After being diagnosed with endo at 17 (11 years ago) and trying every trick in the book, I had a TAH/BSO Jan 25, 1999. I know this is not a cure but I was at my "wits end o" as we all like to say. I have read and researched anything I could get my hands on about this disease and was delighted to find this forum. I could not believe the quilt, what a great idea! It really makes it all hit home and it is wonderful to know I am not alone. I've spent too many years thinking I was just a wimp and losing jobs and financial security because of this disease. Now that I've made the last resort step with the hysterectomy I have other worries (about its return, etc). Even if it does not torment me anymore, I want to keep up with the endo community because there will always be a part of my heart there.
