Re: Endometreosis/infertilityFrom: PATRICIA (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Feb 21 21:17:23 1999
Dear Lisa, I am 30 years old and was officially diagnosed with Endometriosis in 1988. I was told my my doctor then to start trying to have a baby to put myself into remission. As of that time, to current, and beyond, I will continue to try to conceive as it has yet to happen. In 1994 I began taking a drug called LUPRON, it was the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life, with extreme long term, and what I feel is lifetime effects and damage. After taking this drug for 6 months my period returned 2 months later with more severe pain then I started with. In 1995 I found out I could have a laser laporascopic procedure that would remove the Endo. September 1995 I had this surgery and I felt like I had a new life again I lost 50 lbs and felt great for about 2 years. Then the debilitating pain and associated migraines returned in full speed if not faster. I again had another laser surgery in in Feb. 1998, expecting to be just fine again, with absolutely no results at all and I have also gained back 45lbs. I am at the end of my rope in all this, sometimes I feel like im gonna lose my mind to the pain. I am still trying to conceive (it has been 9 yrs now), with no luck at all and dwindling expenses. My doctor wont do another surgery and it has become unbareable to deal with the pain. If anyone out there knows of any new procedures other than hystorectomy, I AM BEGGING YOU TO PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH ANY INFORMATION. E-MAil Address Hotsxyswt@aol.com
-- Sincerely Patricia "Trish" Krause
