Re: another lupron debateFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Feb 11 19:54:18 1999
Alison, Don't be to nervous about taking Lupron I too have started taking it. It has been one month only I'm due for a 2nd shot the 22nd. For the first couple of weeks were excellent no pain, but then it hit really bad that it hurt to walk and for me to I could not play with my children 2 and 4 it been kinda hard as for hot flashes I only got maybe 1-2 but not bad maybe because it's the first shot. I do tend to get mood swing although I don't realize its mostly when I am hurting so bad. I did gained some weight for being the first shot. I had just been on Danzonal and had gain but the stopped and lost most of it. I was really happy although I am not really big was 129 at 5'6 w/Danzonal I went to 150 but was really swollen on my stomach look as though I was pregnant. After that went down to 132 which really wasn't bad now I am at 145 but it seems to be all over so I don't look to bad. Also wanted to make a comment about the price for the lady that said 1325 or something like that. They had also told me that it would cost $1000.00 a shot and my insurance wasn't going to cover it they did call for me so he order by prescribing it direct to me cut the price in half $499.00 per shot sure does beat $1000.00 you should talk to your DR.Good Luck Alison Remember for every person it is different.
