hanging in there!

Hello to all - just thought you might want to know that after all the problems w/ my OB/GYN, and all the misery I have gone through with no satisfaction... I picked up my records yesterday and told him I would no longer be needing his services. He knew he wasn't doing what he needed to - for example - in my records, back in 1995, he did minor surgery for a cyst on my cervix, and also removed what appeared to be a blood clot in my endometrium. He noted that something appears wrong with my endometrium and my uterus, and put in the report that the endometrium does not appear to be shedding properly during menstruation. However, I have been in pain for the last few years, and going to him and begging him to find SOMETHING, and it never occured to him before this January that it might be endometrioisis!!!!!!! He did my lap, closed me up, and did nothing about all the endo he found, refused to do any surgery, and only wanted me to remain on a higher dose BCP. He did not do a tissue sample during my surgery, as I requested, stating he "forgot." He also told me not to worry, though, because "girls my age do not get cancer." (I'm 25.) All this scared me enough, and I found two specialists within an hour of my home that I am going to try.

Thanks to all for the support and I hope and pray this post finds you all well and pain-free.

Angie
