Stephanie,

I would like to know more about IVF and your situation with endo. I am 28, have severe endo according to my RE - I did 3 cycles of clomid - no pregnancy resulted (I do feel from my experience that clomid made my periods much much worse - the pain was more intense and seemed to last longer. the only thing clomid did for me was get my periods back to under a 36 to 38 day cycle range and back to around 30 days - but the trade off for the pain... not worth it) - had lap. last week - and after the lap my RE told me I had virtually no chance to ever conceive naturally as my tubes and such are in such bad shape from the endo. He said I have two choices - treat the pain (i.e., lupron or more aggressive surgery ) or treat the infertility - and he suggested IVF. I got a 2nd opinion who also said I should do IVF. My husband and I are going Monday 2/15/99 to talk with the IVF coordinator at my RE's office -

How many cycles did it take for you to get pregnant with your son? Is there anything about IVF you feel like you could share with me? Please e-mail me privately if you prefer. Thanks for the help.

Angel
