Endometriosis,Infertility & Clomid?From: Kimberly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Feb 9 11:18:36 1999
I am 28 years old and I have Endometriosis. For the past 20 months I have been trying to conceive, with no success. About 4 months ago I had a laproscopy and the Dr. was able to remove 75% of the Endo deposits. At this stage I am beginning to feel that if I don't take some ACTION I will never get pregnant. My question is relating to Clomid. The fertility specialist whom I have been seeing has suggested that Clomid would be the first logical step to obtain pregnancy. I have heard that Clomid can speed up the progress of Endometriosis, and this really concerns me. Can anyone please comment on whether they have ever tried this form of fertility treatment w/ endometriosis, and if so - what were the implications to progression and symptomology of the disease (endometriosis). I desparately want to get pregnant, and am willing to try treatments, but just want to make sure that I make qualified decisions. Your thoughts would be most appreciated!
