Re: Please Help asap!!!From: Annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Feb 5 10:44:35 1999
To LitlGlory, I have had 10 years of problems with endo. I have been on everyting known to man. Provera was one of the worst nightmares for me, but so was lupron. I am now finding out that the side effects of lupron are very undesirable in the long term range. The one medication I tolerated the most was Synaral. its a nasel spray and even though I went through menopause during it, I seemed to do okay. The depression, hair loss, rectum fissures and so on, with all the others was a waste of time throughout my 20's. I had a hysterectomy when I was 28, and the day I began to wear the estrogen patch was the day I have never felt better. However, I am now 31 and am experiencing endo pain all over again, my options are very limited since I will never take Provera or any other progestrons. There are alot of women who do very well on hormones, I am not one of them. I think that provera is much safer than lupron, and I really don't think that it will hurt you to change. After all my life was full of a change of medications for years. Good Luck, and decide for yourself and read up on both of the meds. to decide what is right for you.
