Re: endo on the bowelFrom: Angel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Feb 3 15:21:25 1999
Dear Jean, I have the exact same problem/pain along with other associated pain from endo. YES - this is endo on the bowel - I just had a lap (my 2nd) on Monday and they found my entire bowel pinned to my pelvic wall - they cannot removed endo off the bowel though through a lap b/c they cannot take the chance of knicking your bowel - it will kill you. Anyway - my RE recommended if you do not wish to have children anytime soon, to go on Lupron or Deprovera shot to stop periods, and thus hopefully reducing the endo - and evenutally reducing your pain. I am 28 and too and b/c my endo was not treated aggressively enough by my regular gyn - I was told on Monday after surgery that endo has taken over my entire pelvic area and organs and cannot conceive a child naturally that I now have to think of in vitro. Everyone's case is not the same and I am not saying yours is anything like mine - but the pain you describe I have had for years - I am your age, 28 - don't wait - get to the gyn, get a correct diagnosis and go for treatment. Good luck and if you want to e-mail me privately, please feel free. Let us know how your dr. visit goes. Angel jean wrote:
