surgery info from my RE

Hi Again,

I wanted to post again b/c my RE just called - my first real time talking with him since surg. yest. He told me that if endo looks like "dots" then when he opened me up yest. - he saw "carpet" - he said there was so much endo that at the end of 1 1/2 hrs. of surg. he was beginning to finally see the tip of my left ovary! He said my bowel was completely pinned by endo against pelvic wall - he said it is so aggressive that if I do not do somthing drastic in the next little bit that I will be out of my mind with pain within 2 years. I think my husband and I will take his advise and try IVF as soon as he feels I am recovered enough from the lap. Maybe pregnancy will curve the aggression a little and once I have a child THEN I can try depro or lupron if necessary - then if we want to try again maybe the endo will be reduced and we will have a better chance? Is there anyone else out there going through this and or gone through it? I really need some support and advice - my RE said once I feel like my family is complete - whether that is 1 or 5 children - he feels like I should get a hystorecotomy (spelling?) - I am 28 and that sounds so SO BIG! HELP!
