Re: AdenomyosisI MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELPFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jan 28 07:51:11 1999
It is your decision when to have a hysterectomy. My adeno was diagnosed in Dec. I am 26 and have been dealing with endo for 10 years. I've had enough. I want a hysterectomy. All of the endo has been excised from the pelvic cavity so I only have adeno. For me it is more important to be pain free and have my quality of life back. I realize it take s 2-3 months for the estrogen to work its way out of ones system before normal menses will take place. I am still having some pelvic pain througout the month and very low back pain down by my tailbone area. My gyn told me if the pain is not better he will perform a vaginal hysterctomy. Now my question is, how bad does the pain need to be for a hysterctomy to be performed? My pain is not as bad as when on the pill but it is still agravating me. I am 45 and have two teenagers. Have any ideas for me? Mary Jo
