Re: Lupron/estrogen advice neededFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed Jan 27 22:33:20 1999
Dear Deborah, When I had surgery this last time, my Gyn was wanting for me to use Lupron too. I did alot of research on the drug and without the Lupron Victims website I came to the conclusion that this drug only seemed to be a "poor bandage". 1.) The listed possible side effects of the drug made me feel as if I was only trading one set of systems/problems for another. 2.) The possibility that you can still suffer endo pain while on the drug. 3.) The fact that the effects from the drug may only last as long as you are using the drug to maybe lasting up to one year. When the Lupron stops working you could be right back where you were before using the Lupron or you could be worse than you were. 4.) The possible lasting side effects of the drug are not desireable . I would rather see the Doctors looking at the Natural possibilities for helping us with endo. Things that we could be doing by changing our diet, using vitamin supplements and herbs and natural hormons, ie: Natural Progesterone cream. I need to work on changing my diet but I know that when I use my regiment of vitamins/minerals and herbs along with the progesterone cream, my pain level is way down. If I don't use them then I go through H---. Just to let you know, I am 41 and have suffered from Endo for 29 years. I have searched for my own answers when it seemed as if I could not get Doctors to hear me. I have a very good gyn now even if he isn't an "expert" on endo he tries his best. Deborah, please feel free to email me direct if you have any other questions. I needed to sign off of this format as it takes me over an hour to get through all of these for just one day. Wishing all of us a Real answer to this disease. Joy JoyflySing@aol.com
