pain medications for strong cramps

I was wondering if any of you have had such severe cramps that you were unable to walk or be able to get out of bed - or if you could walk, it is stooped over in pain? Or does your cramps ever get so bad that it causes vomiting? My doctor tells me continuously that ibuprofen should be all I need for my cramps (obviously he has never had cramps!) - I finally got him to give me something stronger - Darvocet - which was a joke - no relief at all. I finally got a drug called vicoprofen which actually allows me to be mobile and get through the two or three days of pain - is there anyone else with these kinds of cramps? I feel so alone in this endo thing - my last two periods managed to ruin Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve... it is really getting to me mentally. Thanks for listening...
