Hello All, I just wanted to share some info. My doctor wanted to do a endometrial biopsy before he does my lap w/ assist hyster next month. Today he called and said that my biopsy showed an infection called endometritis. I looked up some info on it. Some of the symptoms were tiredness(malaise), lower abd pain/ pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and/or vaginal discharge, discomfort w/ bowel movements/ constipation, abd distention, fever(possible). Has anyone ever had this? I've read that many things can cause this, IUD, surgical prodecures, STDs, etc. Alot of these symptoms are going on now and just maybe it might save me from a hysterectomy when treated. Also, i had Group B strep when i was pregnant with my last child( 20 months ago) and read that it can cause endometritis, maybe it wasn't treated correctly. Alot of these symptoms started after my baby was born on top of the other endo problems that i have. I had never heard of this until now. Does anybody know about this?
