menopause after complete hysterectomyFrom: Toni (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jan 14 09:45:18 1999
I am wondering if any of you have had both ovaries out, if you are on estrogen. I have been out of mine for about 5 days, and really do noy have any hot flashes or night sweats that I can really say bother me. After surgery in apr. due to the bowel work I was not even allowed to start estrogen, as long as I did not need it, until I was able to eat, he would not give me nothing by mouth for 3 days. I had no sign until the 4th night, when I woke up wet all over, and when he came in the morning he asked again, and I said yes I was uncomfortable the night before, but he had increased it cause my husband talked about mt moods, which was just because I did not feel good. I asked him in nov. to cut it back, cause even if I do not take it, I do not seem to have any, and if I do they are not bad, signs of going through menopause. I know my dr wants me to take it, he asks me all the time are you having any nights sweats or anything and I tell him no. I would just think after 5 days without it, if I needed it I would be havung some symtoms of menopause! Just wondering! Toni
