Hi Toni,

Glad the elavil is helping you. Your dosage is low, so it's for chronic pain, not depression. Like Chris said, it only works as an antidepressant at higher dosages (I also read that higher means >100 mg). Now that I've been reading these posts about it I've realized that I do have weird dizzy feelings occasionally. Often after I've been sitting for a while I'll just feel light and kind-a floating. That sounds weird. Maybe that's why I ignored it before. Anyway, maybe that's from the amytriptiline, maybe not. Either way I'm happy with this drug. Besides BCPs it's the only prescription that I take currently. Have a good day,
